Short listed in the New Zealand Home of the year awards, the Smith residence is a great example of how you can achieve a beautifully designed home on a lean budget. 

We worked closely with the owner / Architect Dan Smith to make the most of every square meter of the compact 120 msq envelope. 

The modern building has a striking cedar screen that was custom designed for this project and keeps all fixings hidden from sight. The building roof line has a complex pitch angle running down it's length that tapers up toward the back of house presenting a dynamic visual as you approach the house while creating extra space in a mezzanine floor at the rear.
