Hamilton East Residence
ABOUTOur clients for this job were a young creative family looking to fully renovate an old Hamilton East town house. The back of the home faces north and the goal was to convert the back two bedrooms into the kitchen / dining to open up to outdoor living in the back yard and new hardwood deck.
Original timber floor boards were lifted from the carpeted bedrooms and transplanted out into the kitchen / dining area which was previously covered in chip board. A new bathroom and kitchen were added and new windows, doors and linings inside and out.
The result is a surprisingly modern and stylish family home that pays tribute to it's heritage and environment while embracing a contemporary look and feel for the future.
